Job Description

Role & responsibilities

This role will take end-to-end ownership of the Nykaa marketplace account (and over time, additional portals), driving 100% topline & bottomline growth, improving visibility, and executing marketing & operational strategies. The job incumbent will act as the primary liaison with partner platforms and internal teams and lead growth initiatives for assigned portals. The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented professional, able to collaborate effectively, influence stakeholders, and maintain positive relationships across functions.

Revenue & Profitability

  • Achieve 100% of assigned topline (GMV / sales) and bottomline (margin / profits) targets.
  • Monitor and manage discounts, promotions, margin erosion, and cost levers.
  • Forecast demand, sales, and margins accurately; drive corrective measures when deviations occur.
  • Analyze performance metrics (conversion, AOV, return rates, fulfillment costs) and derive improvement strategies.

Account Strategy & Growth / New Business

  • Own the Nykaa account: build joint business plans (JBPs) / annual plans with platform stakeholders.
  • Explore white space: new SKUs, sub-categories, adjacent categories, or brand extensions on the portal. Drive new business initiatives.
  • Negotiate terms, rebates, payment cycles, visibility tie-ups with platform teams as and when required.

Marketing & Visibility

  • Lead portal marketing planning and execution: campaigns, flash sales, banner slots, brand storefronts, buy-ins for activations on-site and off-site etc.
  • Work on offer constructs, merchandising plays, cross-promotions, and marketing activations.
  • Monitor daily campaign performance; optimize campaign levers (bid, placement, discount).
  • Ensure listing content is optimized (titles, bullets, images, A+, videos) to maximize discovery.

Operations & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Coordinate with supply chain teams for PO tracking, monitoring, and timely delivery of saleable & promotional items with 100% fill rate.
  • Manage delivery appointments within TAT for purchase orders.
  • Regional warehouse forecasting and replenishment planning.
  • Monitor RTVs as per agreements; ensure inward completion and credit note processing.
  • Track outstanding payments, discounts, and expenses in liaison with finance teams.
  • Maintain master trackers for each account and ensure clean operational documentation.

Business Reviews & Stakeholder Management

  • Conduct weekly / bi-weekly meetings with platform (e.g. Nykaa) teams, presenting performance, problem areas & action plans.
  • Drive regular internal reviews with cross-functional teams (supply, marketing, finance, design etc) on portal performance.
  • Present to senior management: dashboards, insights, risks & opportunities.

  • Run data analysis (weekly, monthly) to identify trends, growth levers, trouble spots. Suggest improvements in pricing, offers, content, etc.
  • Stay updated on competitor moves, marketplace policies, new features, algorithm / ranking changes

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree (preferably in business / commerce / marketing). MBA is a plus (but not mandatory if experience is strong).
  • 47 years in e-commerce / marketplace account management, ideally in beauty / personal care or adjacent FMCG.
  • Hands-on experience with

    Nykaa

    is required.
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel, dashboards, KPI tracking).
  • Good negotiation, business communication & stakeholder-management skills.
  • Adept at Powerpoint and presentations
  • Understanding of P&L, margins, discounts, promotional economics.
  • Experience in marketing / campaign execution on platforms is a plus (not just operations).
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, manage cross-functional coordination.
  • Proactive mindset: drive initiatives, not just respond to platform asks.
  • Good Financial acumen & Financial statement understanding.
