Job Overview

Role: D&T Manager (Business Intelligence) - Data Insights & Visualization

Location: Mumbai, Hybrid

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute as an Manager. This role will report into Sr. Manager, DIV in India and functionally collaborate with the various verticals of General Mills.

The Data Insights & Visualization team caters to various reporting, visualization & insights initiatives tosupport and aid in decision making for various Operating Units and Business functions.The team operates in Agile manner and works in partnership with product teams to deliver turnkey BI solutions.

This working manager role of D&T Manager would lead BI Ideation with the business & technical team and would be responsible to build/standardize/enhance BI solutions and lead a team of 15-20 Analysts. The person will collaborate and partner with various D&T teams to collectively deliver on the problem statement through optimum, standardized & user-friendly solution.

Role Responsibilities

Team Management, Strategy & Collaboration

• . Lead consultant for enterprise, segment and functional reporting efforts
• . Transform business processes by working across teams and functions to extract insights
• . Consult and partner with leadership to develop sound training, test, communication and change management plans
• . Organize and lead design, code & process review sessions to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and performance guidelines
• . Manage reporting requirements collection construct the conceptual model and design data flow processes
• . Develop technical architectures and prototypes for initiatives through coordination with enterprise architect teams
• . Partner with technical teams to troubleshoot technical and performance issues in the big data ecosystem
• . Direct all communication of design and data architecture to development teams
• . Organize and lead design reviews with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met
• . Partner with development teams to bring cross-functional synergies into delivery
• . Develop the technology and capability roadmap with senior business leaders
• . Lead organizational skills development programs
• . Manage the creation and alignment of client Service Level Agreements
• . Partner with Solutions Development to bring new scalable solutions to business functions
• . Coordinate triage efforts, resolve client issues and system improvements
• . Responsible for achieving Service Excellence goals
• . Reconcile all project work, feedback and identified opportunities with clients
• . Evaluate, implement and oversee business deployment of emerging reporting tech
• . Develop and ensure documentation of reporting best practices
• . Partner with IT to be a business advocate for tools and data needs.

Product Design, Development & Analytics

• . Strong technical skills and business acumen to help turn data into actionable insights.
• . Deep understanding of user experience (UX), design and customer service principles
• . Implementing solutions for optimizing and automating existing reporting leveraging tools such as Tableau, Looker, DOMO, Advance Excel, SQL, etc. Experience with tools and concepts related to data and analytics, such as dimensional modelling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data
• . Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT/Streaming processes
• . Database development experience using Big Query, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP BW or SAP HANA
• . Develop technical architectures and prototypes forsolutions (dashboards, portal pages, metrics, etc.) through coordination with enterprise architect teams.
• . Partner with product teams to troubleshoot technical and performance issues in GCP.
• . Lead design, code & process review sessions to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and performance guidelines.
• . Expertise to perform performance tuning standards on tableau & other BI tools
• . Basic/Intermediate level ability to work on ETL tools (Google data prep, Etc.)
• . Intermediate to Advanced SQL knowledge (Expertise in building/troubleshooting queries)
• . Apply thought leadership to deliver application of insights through absorbed domain/functional business acumen.
• . Expert level ability to develop visualization story using advance Business Intelligence tools that serve as a decision-making resource for business users.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• . Bachelor's degree in business analytics, computer science, or a related subject area.
• . 7+ years of relevant experience of working directly with business clients to design a solution.
• . Extensive experience in creating interactive dashboards using Tableau (Expert) and other visualization tools (Basic) - Domo, Looker, Business Objects, Advance Excel, SQL, etc.
• . Strong communication skills, capable of translating business requests into technical requirements and articulating the pros and cons of different technologies, platforms, design and architectural options.
• . Proficient in data and analytics tools and concepts, including dimensional modelling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing and both structured and unstructured data.
• . Basic understanding of data extraction using Google Big Query, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP BW or SAP HANA
• . Proficient at influencing without authority, skilled at advising and negotiating with business leaders to develop high value solutions.
• . Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes or technology
• . Experience creating dashboards using Tableau or other similar visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI, Microstrategy, R Shiny, QlickSense, Business Objects, etc)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• . Knowledge of at least one other programming language such as Python is a plus.
