A dry syrup filling and sealing machine operator operates, monitors, and maintains machines that fill dry powder into containers and then seal them, ensuring quality control, adherence to GMP, safety standards, and accurate record-keeping. Key responsibilities include machine setup and calibration, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, inspecting for quality, documenting production data, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and physical stamina are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

· Machine Operation:

· Set up and calibrate dry syrup filling and sealing machines according to product and order specifications.

· Operate machines within validated parameters, ensuring consistent filling accuracy and sealing integrity.

· Monitor machine performance during production to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.

· Quality Control:

· Perform quality control checks, such as sampling, to ensure that the dry syrup is filled to the correct weight and that containers are properly sealed.

· Inspect products and the production environment to maintain high quality standards.

· Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

· Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and sanitization of the machines and work area.

· Identify, report, and troubleshoot any machine faults, malfunctions, or breakdowns, assisting the maintenance team with minor repairs.

· Documentation and Compliance:

· Maintain accurate and detailed logs of machine performance, production output, and any incidents.

· Ensure all operations adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety regulations, and established standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Safety and Environment:

· Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines during operation.

· Notify management and maintenance of any unsafe conditions or practices and report any safety or environmental incidents immediately.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and the ability to understand and operate complex machinery.

· Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate filling levels and proper sealing.

· Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues with the machinery and production process.

· Communication: Clear communication skills to report issues and follow instructions.

· Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

· Technical Skills: Familiarity with PLC control systems and touch screens is often beneficial.

· Experience: Previous experience operating filling and sealing machines, preferably in the pharmaceutical or food and beverage industries.
