Drone Pilot

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Drone Pilot for Survey Operations to execute drone-based survey projects. This role involves structured test flights of in-house drone platforms as well as real-world deployment for LiDAR and photogrammetry survey missions. You will work closely with hardware, software, and survey teams to ensure system reliability, data quality, and safe operations.

Responsibilities:

Survey Flight Operations

• Execute drone missions for LiDAR and photogrammetry surveys
• Ensure mission parameters such as altitude, speed, overlap, and coverage are met
• Coordinate with survey and DGPS teams during field execution
• Perform post-flight data sanity checks for coverage gaps and completeness
• Maintain accurate flight logs, battery logs, and mission records
• Support engineering teams during system upgrades and new payload testing

Compliance & Safety

• Follow DGCA guidelines and internal operational SOPs
• Maintain safety documentation, checklists, and flight records
• Support training of junior pilots or technical team members when required

Requirements / Skills:

• DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC)
• Hands-on experience flying multirotor drones
• Comfortable operating drones in manual modes (Alt Hold, Stabilize)
• Basic understanding of drone systems, sensors, and flight dynamics
• Willingness to travel for field deployments
• Familiarity with mission planning and automation software
