Driver/Operator

Roles and Responsibilities of Driver cum Pump Operator (DCPO): Drive and operate firefighting or utility vehicles equipped with pumps. Manage pump controls, water pressure, and equipment during emergency or routine operations. Safely transport crew members, equipment, and tools to and from sites. Navigate routes efficiently and adhere to traffic and safety regulations. Conduct pre- and post-operation checks on vehicles and pump systems. Report mechanical issues and coordinate timely servicing and repairs. Follow safety procedures during vehicle and pump operation. Ensure use of PPE and compliance with site and operational safety standards. Keep the vehicle, pump, and associated tools clean and ready for immediate use. Secure equipment after use and ensure it’s stored properly. Assist team in setting up pumps, hoses, and other firefighting or industrial equipment. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members on site.
