Drawing Teacher / Art Instructor

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Drawing Teacher to join our institution. The ideal candidate should be able to teach fundamental to advanced drawing techniques, guide students in developing creativity, and prepare them for design/architecture entrance exams (if applicable). They should be capable of managing classroom activities, providing constructive feedback, and inspiring students to explore their artistic potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach drawing fundamentals including line, shape, form, shading, perspective, composition, and proportion.
• Conduct classes for still-life drawing, object drawing, figure drawing, imaginative drawing, and creative sketching.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and practice modules.
• Demonstrate various drawing techniques using pencil, charcoal, ink, and other media.
• Guide students in developing observational and design thinking skills.
• Assess student work and provide feedback to help them improve.
• Prepare students for design entrance exams such as NID, NIFT, UCEED, CEED (if your institution covers design prep).
• Maintain discipline and ensure an engaging classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and share periodic performance updates with coordinators/parents.
• Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts / Applied Arts / Visual Arts or related field.
• Strong understanding of drawing concepts and creative techniques.
• Prior teaching experience (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ability to work with students of different skill levels.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of design entrance exam patterns (NID/NIFT/UCEED) is an added advantage.
• Ability to inspire creativity and artistic expression.
• Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per month
