Job Role: Draftsman - Engineering Associate

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings for modular kitchen and home furnishing solutions.
• Create, modify, and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to ensure accurate representation of design concepts.
• Interpret and apply industry-specific standards from the automotive or white goods industry to improve product design and manufacturability.
• Work closely with product developers to ensure all drawings are production-ready and optimized for the manufacturing process.
• Review and revise designs as necessary based on feedback from product engineers and team leads.
• Maintain and organize drawing records, ensuring that all revisions and updates are documented properly.
• Assist in the prototyping and validation process by providing clear and accurate technical drawings.
• Manage ECN/SCN documents, drawing revisions, issue history.
• Handle internal & external ISO audits (documentation, processes).
• Conduct FMEA analysis of applicable products.

Required Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Understanding of material properties, particularly metal and composite materials.
• Knowledge of industry standards, such as RoHS compliance and V0 fire-safe regulations.

Industry-Specific Knowledge:

• Familiarity with design and production processes in the automotive or white goods industry.
• Experience in applying industry-specific standards to improve product design and manufacturability.
• Apply GD & principles to ensure precise and accurate part design.

Experience:

• 2+ years of drafting experience within the automotive or white goods industry.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes like injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and modular assembly.
• Basic/Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc.

Candidates with experience in the Automotive and Whitegoods (Home Appliances) industries are highly preferred.
