As an Applications Development Senior Manager at Citigroup, your role involves managing a team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your key responsibilities include: - Managing one or more Applications Development teams to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team - Providing technical oversight across systems and applications by utilizing in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas - Reviewing and analyzing proposed technical solutions for projects - Contributing to the formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas - Developing comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals - Providing evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations - Impacting the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, participating in budget management, and handling day-to-day staff management issues - Ensuring essential procedures are followed and contributing to defining standards, negotiating with external parties when necessary - Appropriately assessing risk when making business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, and driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations Qualifications required for this role include: - Technical Lead experience in managing development of regional/global applications - Contribution to concept models, design, and system architectures - Code reviews, test case reviews, and ensuring code developed meets the requirements - Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery - Maintaining application hygiene and addressing any Risk & Control items - Managing Senior Stakeholders and communicating effectively and professionally - Working closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Operational users/Product managers to deliver projects - Providing technical and functional expertise to the team - People management, mentoring, and coaching junior team members Must-haves for this role include: - 12+ years of experience of .Net framework with Strong event-driven architecture, design, and development skills - Experience in building Microservices based applications using .Net Core - Experience in SQL/relational databases, Kafka, Reporting Tools - Experience in building and deploying applications using cloud technology - Exposure and debugging skill for bulk data transmission over HTTP, HTTPS, NDM, FTP, and SFTP - Experience of DevOps tools and technologies with experience in deploying applications on the cloud - Excellent communication, analytical skills, and problem-solving experience for implementation, debugging, and testing - Experience in Object-Oriented Development, writing, and translating use cases and requirements - Familiarity with modern data governance practices Desirable skills include knowledge in Securities & Custody, SWIFT 15022/20022. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience, with a Masters degree preferred. This job description provides a high-level review of the work performed.
