Director, US Accounting & Finance

Role Overview: As a Director of US Accounting & Finance at our client's US based accounting firm, you will be leading a team of staff and senior accountants, Accounting Managers, and AP, AR, and Treasury team members in India. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including managing the monthly close process according to US GAAP standards. Additionally, you will oversee Collections and AR/Treasury Associates focused on aged receivables and cash management. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of staff and senior accountants, Accounting Managers, and AP, AR, and Treasury team members in India - Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting following US GAAP standards - Oversee monthly close processes including revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations - Lead Collections and AR/Treasury Associates in collecting aged receivables and providing daily cash receipts and transaction coding support - Utilize knowledge of business processes used by professional services firms - Manage a team of bookkeepers, accountants, and AR/AP associates - Work in a fast-paced environment with M&A activities and growing scope of work - Build a strong team culture and develop team members Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience working as a Controller, Director of Accounting, or similar leadership position - Strong experience with US GAAP and accrual basis accounting - Knowledge of business processes used by professional services firms - Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team of bookkeepers, accountants, and/or AR/AP associates - Experience in a fast-paced environment with M&A activities and growing scope of work - Ability to build a lasting, best-in-class accounting organization (Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description),
