Director, Software Engineering

As the Director of Product Development at Intuit India, you play a crucial role in defining a durable and scalable technology strategy for Intuit's flagship offerings like QuickBooks Online, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp. Your responsibilities involve driving technology strategies that cater to hundreds of millions of current and future customers, with a special emphasis on leveraging AI/ML expertise to embrace GenAI for increased velocity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Define technology strategy for scaling platform capabilities - Collaborate with multiple stakeholders globally to prioritize roadmaps and requirements - Establish alignment of vision, strategy, and delivery with cross-functional teams and senior leaders - Drive operational and engineering excellence through setting clear objectives, data-driven processes, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence - Grow and coach engineering talent, attract and retain senior talent, and develop strategies for talent mobilization - Operate in a fast-moving environment, make data-driven decisions, and execute fiercely to deliver outcomes - Advocate for developers and customers, staying close to customer problems and solving them with urgency - Lead the Intuit India site, focusing on team engagement, hiring, retaining high-performing teams, and contributing to the strategic direction and processes Qualifications Required: - Computer Science degree or equivalent with a passion for technology - 15+ years of experience in the software product industry in senior architecture and development roles - Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and exposure to AI/ML/GenAI/Agentic AI - Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead distributed product development efforts - Experience in establishing technology sourcing directions and making effective decisions - Proficiency in key technologies such as React, Java, Javascript, NoSQL, and experience in front-end and back-end architecture and design - Track record of outstanding business outcomes, effective decision making, and driving engineering design using Agile processes - Commitment to diversity and inclusion with a demonstrated ability to hire and retain diverse talent - Strong communication skills and business acumen, with the ability to work effectively across teams and functional groups - Experience in scaling world-class engineering teams and working with leading public clouds (AWS, Google, Azure) Intuit India is a mission-driven company that values integrity and empowers employees to excel.
