Deputy Director / Director – Academics

CBSE schools

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee academic operations across
two or more CBSE schools
within the Velammal Group
Ensure implementation of CBSE curriculum, NEP integration, and adherence to all board regulations
Lead academic audits, quality checks, and internal evaluations to ensure consistent performance
Guide and mentor Principals, Academic Coordinators, and Heads of Departments
Collaborate with curriculum and training teams for lesson planning, assessments, and teacher development
Drive student performance improvement strategies for board results and overall academic excellence
Review lesson plans, classroom delivery, and student outcomes periodically
Monitor faculty recruitment, training, and retention across assigned campuses
Conduct regular reviews with management on academic goals, KPIs, and action plans
Liaise with CBSE officials and external bodies for affiliations, inspections, and compliance requirements
Identify areas for innovation in teaching-learning, including tech integration and interdisciplinary learning
Participate in leadership forums, workshops, and stakeholder meetings at group level

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:
Postgraduate with B.Ed/M.Ed (mandatory); PhD or certifications in Educational Leadership preferred
Experience:
Minimum
10–15 years
in education, with at least 7
years as Principal
and
experience in managing 2 or more CBSE schools simultaneously
Proven track record in academic leadership, school operations, teacher training, and curriculum management
Strong communication, presentation, and team-building skills
Willingness to travel across campuses as required
