Job Description

Role Overview: As the Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) technology, you will play a crucial role as the transformation lead, envisioning the future of financial planning technology and driving strategic initiatives. You will lead a team, foster innovation, and ensure continuous improvement in FP&A processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in implementing advanced methodologies like promoter-based planning, challenger models, and AI/ML-powered forecasting. Key Responsibilities: - Lead initiatives to modernize FP&A technology platforms, focusing on innovation and long-term strategic impact. - Develop and execute multi-year technology strategies to align with future business needs and industry trends. - Architect and deploy driver-based planning solutions for dynamic, data-driven decision-making across various Sub-LoBs. - Introduce and scale challenger models to improve forecasting accuracy and support scenario analysis effectively. - Evaluate, implement, and enhance AI/ML technologies for predictive analytics, financial modeling, and automated forecasting. - Mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. - Oversee a portfolio of complex projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, data protection standards, and seamless system integration. - Establish and maintain data architecture standards, reliability, and governance frameworks. - Influence senior stakeholders, including the CFO organization, business heads, and C-suite executives, as a trusted advisor and transformation champion. Qualification Required: - Formal training or certification in FP&A concepts with 10+ years of applied experience, along with 5+ years of leading technologists in managing complex technical challenges. - Hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. - Proficiency in implementing technology solutions for FP&A teams, driving process automation and analytics. - Experience in leading and mentoring a cross-functional team of 15-25 engineers, data scientists, and business analysts. - Proven track record as a transformation lead, successfully delivering mission-critical projects with budgets exceeding $10M and driving change across organizational boundaries. - In-depth knowledge of finance and treasury products, particularly in investment management. - Strong background in data architecture, cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow), and analytics. - Demonstrated expertise in driver-based planning, challenger models, and AI/ML forecasting solutions. - Excellent communication skills with executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders. - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.,
