As a Linux Software Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing Linux-based systems and applications, focusing on Yocto, Ubuntu, and Debian distributions. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and debugging Yocto Project recipes, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices. - Contributing to open-source projects and communities to stay updated with the latest trends in Linux development and open-source technologies. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to system performance, security, and reliability. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for the developed software and systems. - Utilizing version control systems like Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Demonstrating a strong understanding of system architecture, kernel development, and device drivers. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - Strong development experience with C/C++ and good programming skills. - Hands-on experience with Ubuntu, RedHat, and understanding of Linux-related concepts. - Knowledge of Linux kernel, SOC systems, and Multimedia subsystems. - Proven experience with troubleshooting software and system issues. - Full software development life cycle experience including design, implementation, deployment, and support.
