Director - Legal Counsel

As a Director - Legal Counsel at our leading client, you will play a crucial role in shaping the legal and compliance landscape of a diversified conglomerate operating across various business verticals. With an LLB / LLM from a reputed law school and 15-20 years of legal experience, including 5-6 years in consumer internet, digital, or technology-driven organizations, you will bring deep expertise in Copyrights, Intellectual Property, Digital Compliance, and Data Protection regulations to the table. Your responsibilities will include driving the overall legal and compliance strategy for a digital-first organization, acting as a key advisor to the leadership team on evolving legal risks, regulatory trends, and business-critical issues. You will lead the development and implementation of internal policies on data privacy, digital governance, and intellectual property. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure legal alignment across products, platforms, and operations will be essential. Representing the company in external regulatory engagements and industry associations will be part of your role, along with providing regular updates to the leadership on legal priorities, compliance metrics, and risk exposure. Prior experience in a technology or internet-based company and a strong understanding of product advisory and digital laws are mandatory for this position.
