Director - AI/ML Strategy & Pre-Sales

As the Director of AI/ML Strategy & Pre-Sales at Surge, you will play a crucial role in helping organizations leverage the power of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligent automation to address their most intricate problems. Working from our office in Hyderabad, you will be part of a dynamic team that designs and implements AI/ML-driven solutions that make a tangible impact across various industries such as BFSI, manufacturing, retail, and the public sector. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the organization's AI/ML vision and roadmap in alignment with business objectives, BPM solutions, and product innovation goals. You will identify, assess, and prioritize AI/ML use cases with significant strategic and commercial value, while providing technical leadership and best practices for AI/ML adoption across different platforms and solutions. Moreover, you will mentor and guide internal teams in overcoming complex technical challenges, promoting innovation, and enhancing delivery capabilities. Collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional teams will be essential to translate strategies into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. Your role will also involve leading pre-sales activities, including solutioning, proposals, proof-of-concepts, and customer presentations to secure new business opportunities. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on AI/ML strategy, architecture, or solution delivery. You must demonstrate a proven track record in defining and implementing technology roadmaps, preferably in SaaS, BPM, or product-based environments. Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as experience in pre-sales activities and stakeholder management, are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, staying informed about emerging trends in AI/ML and translating them into viable business opportunities will be part of your responsibilities. Driving a culture of experimentation, agility, and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization will also be a key focus area. Exposure to BPM tools like Camunda, Appian, or similar platforms is desirable but not mandatory for this role.
