Direct Tax Manager

Role & responsibilities

As a Manager Direct Tax, you'll be at the forefront of the companys tax strategy and compliance efforts, working closely with leadership and business units to ensure efficient tax planning and adherence to all applicable direct tax laws. Youll play a critical role in mitigating tax risks, handling audits, and driving strategic decisions that optimize the companys tax position. What You Will Do

• Develop and implement direct tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position
• Research, interpret, and apply relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance
• Prepare and review direct tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission
• Manage tax audits and coordinate responses and documentation for tax authorities
• Advise internal teams on tax implications of business decisions and transactions
• Monitor changes in direct tax laws and assess their business impact
• Identify tax saving opportunities while minimizing tax liabilities and risks
• Provide guidance and training to finance and business teams on direct tax matters
• Ensure robust documentation and compliance with reporting requirements

What Will Need

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws and regulatory frameworks
• Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and handling tax audits
• Strong research and analytical skills to interpret complex tax legislation
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in mentoring or guiding junior finance professionals
• Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation
