The Opportunity

The Direct Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in managing Ultrahumans direct tax function, including domestic and international tax compliance, advisory, and planning. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with a strong mix of consulting and industry experience, global exposure, and deep understanding of tax laws, audits, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and filing of income tax returns for entities across jurisdictions.
• Manage tax audits, assessments, and ensure accurate and timely submissions.
• Provide expert tax advisory support for business decisions and cross-border transactions.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with TDS, advance tax, and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate with external consultants and advisors for complex tax matters and global compliance requirements.
• Implement best practices in tax governance, process automation, and risk management.
• Support transfer pricing documentation, BEPS reporting, and inter-company arrangements.
• Stay updated on evolving tax laws, treaties, and international tax developments impacting operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
• 3-5 years of experience with a balanced mix of consulting (Big4 or equivalent) and industry exposure.
• Strong understanding of Indian Direct Tax laws, TDS, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience managing overseas tax compliance and advisory matters.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global business environment.
