Job Description: We are looking for a Diploma Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our paint manufacturing facility in Howrah. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical background and be keen to work in an industrial production environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical equipment in the production plant. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines such as mixers, pumps, compressors, filling machines, and agitators. Support in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain records of maintenance activities, downtime, and spares. Work closely with the production team to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies. Participate in regular inspections and audits. Help in managing utilities like compressed air, water systems, etc. Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute. 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/chemical/paint industry preferred. Basic knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulics. Ability to read technical drawings and manuals. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work in shifts, if required. Preferred Skills: Experience in paint or chemical manufacturing is a plus. Knowledge of 5S, TPM, or ISO systems is an added advantage. Benefits: PF, ESI, and bonus as per company policy.
