Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Inspect rough cast components using precision instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, templates, and gauges.
Verify dimensional accuracy and visual quality of incoming castings as per drawing and customer requirements.
Interpret and analyze 2D engineering drawings and ensure GD&T compliance.
Document inspection results, deviation reports, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
Coordinate with production and suppliers for clarification and resolution of quality concerns.
Ensure quality systems and inspection procedures are strictly followed.
Provide feedback to the foundry regarding repeated dimensional issues or trends.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Foundry Technology
Minimum 5 years experience in dimensional inspection of rough castings (preferably in steel casting industry)
Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T
Good reporting and communication skills
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, QC documentation)
