Dietician / Sr. Dietician - 5+ yrs Hospital Exp - Loc: Adyar Unit

Role & responsibilities

• Train other Dieticians and Supervise their activities
• Talk to Doctors or healthcare professionals regarding the Nutritional status of patients
• Meet Critically ill Patients and Initiate Enteral or Parenteral Nutrition
• Inpatient, outpatient, and Master Health Checkup counseling
• Patient Feedback collection and compilation
• Monitor Preparation of food, final tasting, and Serving to patients.
• Make Monthly Duty Roster
• Share Updates on Nutrition
• Coordinate with Concern Managers to improve patient diet service
• Patients Menu Revision every six months
• Screens, assesses & reassesses nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans, and provides nutritional counselling.
• Monitor & assess N.P.O. patients that are left more than 3 days.
• Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, and make recommendations related to dietary needs and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
• Provide thorough consultations for OPD patients and proper follow-up as needed.
• Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Conducts patient nutrition assessments to determine risk and nutrition requirements.
• Develops nutrition programs for patients and makes recommendations for treatment as required, and documents assessments and nutrition plans.
• Monitors implementation of nutrition plans and follows up to assess patient progress and adjust plans as necessary.
• Participates in the overall dietary process as a member of an interdisciplinary team; attends patient rounds and team meetings.
• Educates and counsels patients and families on nutrition issues, either individually or in groups; may develop and conduct outreach programs.
• Trains students and medical staff; develops training and support materials.
• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Coordinate recipe development and standardization and develop new menus for independent food service operations.
• Provide an education session about nutrition for healthcare staff.
• Provide patient and family education & health teaching and education through the assessment of patients' learning needs & using demonstration techniques and educational materials such as brochures or pamphlets and other needed materials.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree & Master's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
• At least Five years of related experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience with data entry and data analysis
• Must be a Registered Dietitian
• Multilingualism will be preferred
