Dialysis Technician

Job Description

Patient Monitoring: Dialysis technicians closely observe patients during treatment, monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) and assessing for any complications or adverse reactions. Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: They are responsible for assembling and ensuring the proper functioning of dialysis machines, as well as cleaning and sterilizing equipment to maintain a safe environment. Patient Education: Dialysis technicians provide education to patients and their families regarding the dialysis process, dietary considerations, and self-care techniques to promote better health and well-being. Documentation: They meticulously record patient information, including treatment details, vital signs, and any changes in patient condition. Collaboration: Dialysis technicians work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient. Emergency Response: They are trained to respond to dialysis-related emergencies, such as administering oxygen or performing basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Infection Control: Dialysis technicians play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
