Role & responsibilities

Pivotal role in developing and implementing sustainable environment practice and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulation, identify and mitigate risk associated with environment hazard and liabilities, promote circular economy, create environment awareness among the stockholder and act as subject matter expert, providing guidance and information to top management about environment compliance

Should be conversant with the local language, Environmental rules and regulation of the industrial belt and computer related work.

EMS management

Implementation of EMS standards (based on ISO 14000 approach) and EHS technical standards and preparing the Standard Operating Procedures

Env. Compliance

Ensure Environment Compliance with Local, National and International laws and regulation

Energy Management & Sustainability

Develop and promote energy efficiency program support in circular economy and ensure all parameter to be in specified limit

Compliance sustainability and integrity

Ensure all activities under his/her control and supervision are compliant with all the laws of land and statutory requirement.

Conduct all operation of function, ensuring social responsibility and accountabilities by following the company guideline of the same.

Be responsible for ethical operation under his control.

Be responsible for prevention, detection and reporting of bribery and other forms of corruption including breach of code of conduct and other company regulation.

Avoid all such activity that could lead to or imply breach of code of conduct, anti-

bribery and anti-corruption etc.

Safety, Health & Environment Responsibilities

To help define safety goals, develop implementation procedures, and ensure compliance for the company's safety programs.

Consistently motivate other employees to effectively mitigate safety risks.

15-20 Years of total experience

BE Environment / BE Chemical

MSc Environment Science

Functional Skills

Deep knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., EPA, MoEFCC, local laws).

Ability to implement and manage compliance programs, including permit management and adherence to national/international guidelines.

Proficiency in conducting environmental audits and preparing detailed compliance reports.

Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and develop mitigation plans for potential environmental risks

Strong skills in developing and implementing sustainability programs, such as energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and circular economy initiatives.

Knowledge of carbon footprint reduction techniques and GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reporting standards.

Experience in renewable energy integration and resource optimization

Ability to handle emergency response planning for environmental hazards (e.g., chemical spills, air/water contamination).

Strong understanding of ISO 14001 and other environmental management standards.

Skills in designing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Environmental Management System (EMS).

Expertise in analyzing environmental data, such as emissions, waste, water usage, and energy consumption.

Proficiency in using tools for environmental monitoring and reporting (e.g., energy management systems, sustainability software).

Ability to prepare environmental performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management for environmental programs.

Strong skills in collaborating with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external consultants.

Ability to engage with internal teams, leadership, and community stakeholders to align environmental objectives with organizational goals.

Experience in leading cross-functional teams, mentoring junior staff, and promoting an environmental culture.

Ability to influence and gain buy-in for environmental and sustainability initiatives.

Familiarity with advanced technologies for pollution control, resource efficiency, and renewable energy.

Proficiency in tools/software for environmental modeling, monitoring, and data management.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.

Experience in developing and delivering training programs on environmental awareness and compliance.

Knowledge of global environmental frameworks like UN SDGs, GRI, EcoVadis, or CDP.

Professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, or NEBOSH Environmental Certification
