DevOps Specialist - Azure

About the Role

1. We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Specialist for a 3-month contract to support our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security framework on Microsoft Azure.
2. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in infrastructure automation, container orchestration, and message brokering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and optimize Azure-based infrastructure and services.

2. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

3. Manage Kubernetes clusters (AKS) including deployments, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

4. Set up and maintain message brokering services (Kafka or RabbitMQ).

5. Ensure compliance with Azure security frameworks, including identity, access management, network security, and governance.

6. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

7. Collaborate with development and architecture teams to implement best practices in cloud operations.

8. Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.

Required Skills & Experience

1. 8+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.

2. Strong expertise in Terraform for provisioning and automation.

3. Solid understanding and practical experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred).

4. Experience in message-brokering solutions: Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.

5. Deep understanding of Azure security principles, including RBAC, Key Vault, Policy, and security best practices.

6. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Azure DevOps pipelines.

7. Good understanding of networking concepts (VNet, Firewalls, Load Balancers).

8. Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines.

Good to Have

1. Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).

2. Knowledge of container registries, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), or event-driven architectures.

3. Certification such as AZ-400, AZ-104, or CKA.
