Senior DevOps Lead

About the Role

Were seeking a Senior DevOps Lead to own the infrastructure, automation, and developer experience that power company’s no-code development platform. You’ll be the principal architect of our AWS environments, CI/CD pipelines, and local developer tooling, while guiding best practices across the engineering team.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll design scalable systems, mentor engineers, and ensure our platform is reliable, cost-efficient, and easy for developers to build on.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Automation

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure (ECS, ALB, Aurora PostgreSQL, CloudFront, VPC, IAM, S3) .
• Standardize Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform across all environments.
• Implement auto-scaling, monitoring, and recovery policies for core services.

CI/CD & Developer Experience

• Lead the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins on AWS) .
• Own and improve the Docker Compose–based local dev environment (Hasura, Auth, Functions, Flutter frontend) .
• Define branching and release patterns (blue/green, feature flags, rollback strategies).
• Make onboarding and day-to-day developer workflows frictionless.

Resilience & Reliability

• Oversee database operations: scaling Aurora PostgreSQL, tuning performance, and managing backups/restore testing.
• Ensure disaster recovery procedures are documented, automated, and tested.
• Monitor system health with CloudWatch and related AWS services.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as the DevOps subject matter expert across engineering.
• Mentor engineers on DevOps best practices and modern tooling.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to align infrastructure with roadmap.
• Maintain clear runbooks, deployment guides, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, with at least 2–3 in a lead role.
• Deep expertise in AWS (ECS, ALB, Aurora PostgreSQL, IAM, CloudFront, S3).
• Strong background in containerization and orchestration (Docker essential, Kubernetes a plus).
• Proven success implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform required).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
• PostgreSQL administration and scaling experience.
• Excellent communicator with ability to influence engineering direction.
