Job Description

Administer and maintain Linux /AIX servers in physical and virtual environments.

Manage and configure HMC for IBM Power Systems, including LPAR creation and firmware updates.

Monitor and troubleshoot hardware using FSP and BMC interfaces.

Perform SAN provisioning, zoning, and troubleshooting in enterprise storage environments.

Automate system tasks using shell scripting, Python, or Ansible.

Ensure system security, patching, and compliance with IT policies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure planning and support.

Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.

Required education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise Strong experience with Linux system administration. Hands-on experience with HMC, FSP, and BMC in enterprise server environments. Solid understanding of SAN technologies (e.g., Fibre Channel, zoning, LUN mapping). Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet). Familiarity with virtualization (PowerVM, VMware) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls). Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git). Preferred technical and professional experience Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
