Devops Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer with 24 years of hands-on experience in CI/CD, container orchestration, monitoring, and DevOps tooling. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to streamline delivery pipelines, improve deployment automation, and maintain reliable, scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.

Deploy, manage, and optimize workloads in on-prem Kubernetes environments.

Implement and maintain service mesh components (Linkerd / Istio / Consul).

Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and applications using Prometheus, Grafana.

Integrate quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Vault.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance through DevOps best practices.

Collaborate with developers for smoother code deployments and environment readiness.

Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience:

24 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

Strong expertise with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Hands-on experience with Docker & Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, Helm is a plus).

Experience implementing Prometheus monitoring and Grafana dashboards and alert management using them.

Exposure to service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul).

Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.

Good understanding of SonarQube integration for code quality.

Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar).

Familiarity with Git workflows.

Monitoring & Observability : Prometheus (alerts, exporters, custom metrics), Grafana, ELK / EFK Stack, Loki / Tempo & Distributed tracing (Jaeger / Zipkin).

Configuration Management : Ansible / Chef / Puppet / SaltStack

Build Tools : Maven, Gradle (for backend CI pipelines) and NPM/Yarn (frontend pipelines).

Good to Have:

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).

Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, Load Balancing).

Experience with log aggregation tools (ELK, Loki).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Ownership mindset with focus on delivery and reliability.
