We are building the mission control system for a fleet of multi-sensor Earth observation satellites. The core software components existyou will be the force that integrates them into a cohesive, reliable, and highly available system that can be deployed, operated, and scaled with confidence. This is a fast-paced environment where you will work across system design, integration, maintenance, and documentation. We value engineers who can deliver end-to-end solutions with agility and precision. What You'll Do
- Design and implement mission control systems: telemetry & telecommand flows, tasking, scheduling, monitoring, and data routing.
 - Integrate multiple software components into one operational ecosystem (internal services, third-party APIs, ground station software, etc.).
 - Maintain and document all systems: architecture diagrams, interface specifications, deployment playbooks, operator guides.
 - Ensure reliability and scalability: design for uptime, failover, and high availability.
 - Deploy and operate systems in production with CI/CD pipelines, observability, alerting, and runbooks.
 - Collaborate with flight software, data processing, and ground station teams to validate hardwaresoftware integration in test labs and HIL setups.
 - Continuously improve system performance and streamline developer/operator workflows.

Requirements
- System Design: Modular architectures, clear interfaces, scaling, and fault tolerance.
 - Programming: Proficiency in at least two of Python, Ruby, C++, Rust, JavaScript.
 - Software Deployment: Docker, GitHub, Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration tools).
 - Integration: Proven experience bridging software and hardware systems.
 - Documentation: Strong technical writing and architecture diagramming skills.
 - On-Prem Deployment: Hands-on experience with on-prem server maintenance and deployment.

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Aerospace background (small satellites, mission ops, ground segment, flight software).
 - Radio/SDR knowledge (GNU Radio, SatNOGS, signal processing, link budgets).
 - Familiarity with CCSDS standards, TT&C, orbit/ephemeris tools, and ground station control systems.
 - Experience with high-availability / fault-tolerant systems (banking, telecom, mission-critical sectors).
 - Distributed systems (message queues, gRPC/Protobuf, Kafka/NATS), time-series databases, observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).

Benefits
- Fair compensation provided as per market standards
 - Experience rapid growth in a start-up culture
 - Flexible working hours
 - Open environment for exploring, discussing, and implementing new ideas and processes
 - Opportunity to work closely with the Founding Team at GalaxEye
 - Mentorship from senior advisors with decades of industry experience
