DevOps Engineer

As an Azure DevOps Engineer, your role will involve building, configuring, customizing, and supporting products that offer innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing system issues, and operational problems. You will be a key contributor to an engineering team focused on developing and supporting exceptional products. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software, which may require independent research and study. - Leading teams to develop high-quality and production-ready software using best-practice data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and frameworks. - Writing highest quality code with a focus on scalability, security, and performance from conception to delivery and production support. - Producing complete, simple, and readable technical documentation for all developed solutions and encouraging a team culture of documentation. - Conducting code reviews, offering technical guidance, and mentoring software engineers. - Collaborating closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, QA, and other teams to define business and functional requirements. - Scoping efforts, identifying risks, and communicating trade-offs with team members and stakeholders. - Assisting in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects. - Supporting and collaborating with other Engineers through evaluation, design analysis, and development phases. - Maintaining knowledge, ensuring competency, and complying with policies and procedures to be a technical expert while working with cross-functional teams. In addition, you are expected to perform other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications required for this role include: - Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical education and experience. - 7+ years of experience with Healthcare Technology, claims processing systems, batch, and online processing. - Expertise in Creating, Maintaining, and Enhancing Java code using Spring Framework. - Expertise in Creating, Maintaining, and Enhancing REST API. - Expertise in Azure Cloud Platform Services (AKS). - Expertise in Docker Containerization with Kubernetes Orchestration. - Expertise in Azure Platform change management. - Expertise in Datadog and Azure Observability/Monitoring platform. - Expertise in DevOps/GitOps. - Experience with Production Support, including Abend resolution and documentation. - Experience with Istio/Knative/Ngnix is a plus. - Experience with MetaVance Online and Batch Processing is a plus. - Knowledge of building MetaVance on a specific server is a plus. - Knowledge of MetaVance Application or any Healthcare Claims processing system is a plus. - Flexible with work schedule, including supporting on-call for Production and Pre-Production environments. - Knowledge of current trends and best practices enabling sound technology choices and strategic decisions. - Ability to research and apply innovative methodologies, latest industry trends, and design patterns. - Proficient in organizational processes and capable of assessing and initiating change. - Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.,
