Development Engineer - Plastics

As a Development Engineer-Plastics at TVS Motor Company, your role is crucial in developing and improving selected supplier parts to achieve quality and delivery targets. Your responsibilities include: - Executing and implementing changes according to the development plan - Visiting, assessing, and confirming capacity supplier-wise and part-wise - Conducting joint warranty analysis and implementing countermeasures - Selecting processes and establishing them for mass production ramp-up - Ensuring compliance with APQP, PPAP, DFM, DVP, etc. - Generating supplier-wise MIS reports and sharing them with management - Setting norms for raw material adjustment quarterly and half-yearly - Providing ECR analysis and prioritizing implementation based on an agreed list - Identifying potential cost reduction ideas at the part level - Developing cost break-up and estimations - Implementing alternate sources and monitoring supplier performance In terms of New Product Development (NPD), you will be responsible for: - Executing actions identified at each stage of the Part Development process - Initiating costing-related workflows for IPSF, PCR, toolings, etc. - Developing parts as per project milestones and conducting process and quality audits to meet QCD targets Your qualifications should include a Diploma or Graduation degree. This position is located at the Hosur Plant in Tamil Nadu, India, and requires 4 to 6 years of experience in a White Collar - Regular role.
