Job Description

As a Development Engineer- Forging at TVS Motor Company, your role will involve developing and improving selected supplier parts to achieve quality and delivery targets. You will be responsible for executing and implementing changes as per the development plan, visiting, assessing, and confirming capacity supplier-wise and part-wise, and conducting joint warranty analysis to implement countermeasures. Your key responsibilities will include: - Process selection, establishment of processes, and ramp-up for mass production - Implementing APQP, PPAP, DFM, DVP, etc. - Generating supplier-wise MIS reports and sharing them with management - Setting norms for raw material adjustments on a quarterly and half-yearly basis - Providing ECR analysis and prioritizing implementation as per the agreed list - Identifying potential cost reduction ideas at the part level - Developing cost break-ups and estimations - Implementing alternate sources and monitoring supplier performance In terms of New Product Development (NPD), you will be expected to execute actions identified at each stage of the part development process, based on guidance from Sourcing & Development Engineer, and actions agreed upon with the Supplier. You will also initiate costing-related workflows for IPSF, PCR, toolings, etc., develop parts as per project milestones, and conduct process and quality audits to meet QCD targets. Qualifications required for this position include a Diploma or Graduation degree.
