Development Engineer Bonnet & Fender

As a Development Engineer for Bonnet & Fender at koda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL), you will play a crucial role in providing technical input to suppliers and plant colleagues to meet product requirements ensuring the right material, process, and functionality of the product. You will act as a bridge for VW group technical requirements for component and system development, achieving engineering milestones. Your responsibilities will include releasing recommendations like P, B, BMG, K, ensuring legal and homologation standards are met. You will be authorized to present solutions to technical issues during design and the product development/manufacturing process. You will also have the authority to create and release component and system relevant documents for approvals. Being self-starting and self-motivated, with the ability to think in a wider scope, will be key attributes for success in this role. Additionally, effective communication skills, being a team player, and possessing product and process knowledge will be essential. Your key responsibilities will involve coordinating with suppliers to implement project tasks and reporting project progress to the relevant Team head. You will contribute to setting project parameters and their optimization, including time plans and product goals. Analyzing, preparing, proposing, and executing the product development process at component, system, and vehicle levels will be part of your tasks. You will also serve as a single point contact as part owner for suppliers and other departments, ensuring coordination for product optimization and issue resolution. In this role, you will create 3D data, 2D drawings, PDM, TLD, DFMEA, and other necessary documentation, uploading them in IT systems for releasing. You will be responsible for milestones and deliverables till EOP, including the creation of WF documentation and release it (P, B, BMG, K, etc.) along with relevant administrative activities. Evaluating test results, defining counter-measures, cooperating on their realization, and preparing release recommendation documents for BMG & K-release will also be part of your responsibilities. In addition, you will contribute to the team regarding budget, AEKO preparation, and D&D negotiations. Ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements such as specifications, regulatory standards, homologation, and identified key performance indicators will be crucial. Supporting CFT review meetings at the India level and seeking new Indian technologies/development opportunities based on market trends and requirements will also be expected from you.
