Developer III - Java Developer

As a Java Developer at UST, you will play a crucial role in building scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React JS or Angular JS. You will work with Microservices architecture and Event-Driven systems to deliver robust backend solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Develop, implement, and maintain scalable web applications using Java and Spring Boot. - Design and build microservices and RESTful APIs for enterprise-level applications. - Work with Kafka and other event-driven tools to implement real-time data streaming solutions. - Collaborate with front-end developers using React JS or Angular JS for seamless user experience. - Translate business requirements into technical designs and architecture. - Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and performance tuning. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently. - Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. - Work with MSSQL databases and contribute to database design and optimization. **Must-Have Skills:** - 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java Web Application Development. - Strong expertise in Spring Boot Framework. - In-depth understanding of Microservices Architecture and RESTful Web Services. - Hands-on experience with Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture. - Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks React JS or Angular JS. - Experience with relational databases such as MSSQL. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication skills with the ability to engage directly with stakeholders and team members. **Good-to-Have Skills:** - Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker). - Experience working with NoSQL databases. - Prior experience in the Healthcare domain. - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
