Developer

You are a skilled AS400 Developer being sought to join the Group Asia technology team. Your primary focus will be on AS400 development within Life Insurance systems, particularly Group or Asia-based products. Your responsibilities will include analyzing business requirements, designing, developing, testing, and deploying programs on the AS400 platform to support business needs and system enhancements. Your key responsibilities will involve translating business requirements into technical specifications, developing programs using RPG, CL, COBOL, and DB2/400, supporting Group Asia insurance product implementations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, performing impact analysis and data migration, offering technical support and resolving issues, documenting developed programs and system changes, ensuring code quality and compliance with best practices. As a qualified candidate, you are expected to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in AS400/iSeries development. Proficiency in RPG IV, RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400 is essential, as well as a good understanding of file structures, data management, and batch processing on AS400. Experience with Group/Asia Insurance products, Agile methodology, and SDLC processes is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, communication skills, and collaborative work approach are also required. Preferred skills include experience in integrating AS400 systems with web services or third-party tools, knowledge of version control tools and DevOps for AS400, and familiarity with the insurance domain, particularly Group or Bancassurance products.,
