Desktop System Administrator

As an experienced L1 Desktop System Administrator with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support in end-user support, desktop/laptop troubleshooting, and basic network administration. Your key responsibilities will include onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows OS and standard applications, as well as managing user access rights, shared folder permissions, and drive mappings. You will be expected to maintain IT inventory for end-user devices and peripherals, apply security patches, updates, and antivirus installations, troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues, perform basic switch port patching, and assist in wireless network configuration and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will be responsible for logging, tracking, and updating service requests in the ticketing system, documenting resolutions, and ensuring SLA compliance and timely issue resolution. To excel in this role, you should possess strong troubleshooting and communication skills, have familiarity with ITSM tools like Freshdesk, ServiceNow, etc., and hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent. Your technical skills should include proficiency in Windows OS installation and troubleshooting, printer & scanner setup, email configuration, antivirus and patch update handling, and basic network fundamentals. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position with a morning shift schedule and weekend availability required. The work location is in Bangalore and may involve fieldwork. A two-wheeler is needed for this role.
