Desktop Support Engineer Intern

As an Intern at our organization, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various IT functions. Your main responsibilities will include: - Providing first-line technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues. This involves responding to and resolving IT help desk tickets and support requests promptly. - Assisting users with account creation, password resets, and access permissions. You will also troubleshoot basic desktop and application problems as well as basic issues related to printers, scanners, and IP phones. - Monitoring system alerts and notifications to identify and resolve common issues. You will be required to conduct routine system checks, perform maintenance tasks like disk clean-up and updates, and assist with system backups. - Administering user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems. This includes ensuring regular and secure system and data backups, implementing security measures such as Anti-Virus software, and managing VPN installation and configuration. - Coordinating with vendors and suppliers for hardware and software procurement to support organizational needs effectively.
