Desktop Support Engineer - Associate

Role Overview: You will be joining the Help Desk team within the Engineering group at AQR Capital Management. Reporting to the Senior Help Desk lead, you will play a crucial role in providing support across all departments. Your responsibilities will include: - Taking initial telephone or email inquiries and troubleshooting technical issues - Installing and configuring hardware, software, and mobile applications - Escalating complex problems to senior support techs - Supporting new application roll-outs and project initiatives - Testing and evaluating new technologies to meet business requirements - Logging and tracking issues in a ticketing system (Service Now) while managing multiple cases simultaneously - Providing timely and accurate customer feedback - Following up with clients to ensure issue resolution - Documenting processes and procedures for internal and customer use Qualification Required: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following: - Certification preferred (Microsoft, A+, Network+, etc.) - 1-3+ years of experience in a help desk environment - Flexibility to work various shifts with short notice and regular overtime - Proficiency in Windows, MAC, and iOS environments - Excellent oral communication skills - Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain thorough notes on tickets - Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues (Note: No additional details about the company were mentioned in the job description),
