Desktop Administrator - Associate Systems Engineer

Role Overview: AutoZone is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Systems Developer. As a Systems Developer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of AutoZone's hardware, software, and/or network applications. Your role will involve acquiring domain knowledge, growing technical skills, supporting customers, resolving problems, and participating in various stages of the system's development life cycle. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in various roles of the system's development life cycle, which may include developing and/or maintaining software applications, debugging, designing, coding, testing, writing specifications, rolling out software, and providing production support. - Provide technical services such as software, hardware, and network architecture design and maintenance, as well as data security. - Support engineering and automation by coding based on provided designs and plans, and implementing roll-out solutions. - Maintain inventory records and hardware assignments using the asset management system. - Monitor the health of hardware and software systems to ensure that established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. - Stay updated on AutoZone systems" innovations and changes to provide quality support using the appropriate tools and training. - Regularly maintain, upgrade, and support existing systems to ensure operational stability for business groups. - Collaborate cross-functionally with end-user support, conferencing support, inventory support, and other team members to share knowledge and ideas on applying scripting and engineering automation for added value. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred - One to five years of experience typically required - Knowledge of MS Office - Novice proficiency with AutoZone software, architecture, and methodology - Technical skills in areas such as UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cobol, Java, MS SQL, C, C++, Informix, Greenplum, Hadoop, ATG, QT4, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CSP, CICS, TCP/IP, Networking, and LAN administration - Basic problem-solving, domain technical, and analytical skills - May require technical supervision to complete tasks Please note that the additional details of the company mentioned in the job description have been omitted as they were not specifically related to the job role.,
