Role Overview:
We are looking for a Designer who will play a pivotal role in shaping our collections. The role requires a balance of creative design thinking, technical know-how, and production management. You will work closely with the founder to translate brand vision into refined garments that are both aesthetic and functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development
• Refine and iterate on design concepts aligned with Aretey’s brand ethos.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and CADs to present design ideas.
• Research trends, fabrics, and techniques relevant to contemporary womenswear.
• Technical & Production Support
• Collaborate with pattern makers and master jis to ensure design accuracy and fit.
• Oversee the sampling process, incorporating feedback and final refinements.
• Monitor production timelines, fabric sourcing, trims, and finishing quality.
• Conduct quality checks during sampling and production stages.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with manufacturers, dyers, and fabric vendors.
• Liaise between creative direction and production teams to ensure brand consistency.
• Provide input on styling, shoots, and product storytelling where relevant.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong foundation in womenswear design, pattern knowledge, and garment construction.
• Proficiency in sketching, CAD tools, and mood board creation.
• Understanding of fabrics (natural and blended) and their application in tailoring.
• Experience with production oversight, vendor communication, and quality checks.
• Eye for detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with D2C/fashion start-ups.
• Interest in minimalistic yet bold design philosophy.
• Ability to contribute to creative campaigns and shoots.
