Job Description

As a Design Project Manager for Food Spaces, your role involves working as part of a regional food design team to develop design solutions that meet client briefs and create great spaces for employees. The focus is on promoting healthy habits and social serendipity through the design, layout, and experience of eating in food venues. Your responsibilities include: - Developing project briefs scoped sufficiently to accommodate food program requirements and briefing design partners accordingly. - Supporting the development and design of food spaces in India, engaging team members in each project phase, and maintaining necessary documentation for project phasing. - Managing various work streams simultaneously, such as space planning, concept development, design development, project turnover, change processes, and opening processes. - Assisting in managing all required documents, reporting, data management tools, and design templates. - Guiding design teams in creating engaging and exciting food spaces to deliver unique experiences for users and sharing best practices across multiple projects. - Tracking project details, schedule, and budget, and communicating potential issues to relevant stakeholders. - Identifying capable resources for each project, such as restaurant/cafe designers and food service equipment consultants. - Acting as the liaison to the Client Food team on all construction projects, engaging appropriate members in each project phase, managing the process, and ensuring budget maintenance. - Managing final sign-off for milestone project phases, including schematic design, design development, and review of finishes and FF&E items. - Traveling within the country, visiting construction sites, and identifying potential issues during project snagging and handover processes. - Supporting the diligence of new projects and providing value engineering solutions for cost, operations, and time efficiencies. - Contributing to capital planning for the region and seeking approval from the Design partner. Minimum qualifications required for this role: - BA/BS degree in Project Management or Design (Architecture/Interior) or 3-5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. - Minimum of 7 years of professional project management experience with a focus on Food & Beverage spaces. - Experience within food service or retail operations and flow, either through direct experience or professional design work. Preferred skills for this role include: - Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills for design issues. - Ability to think creatively and bring innovative solutions to the table. - Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with self-motivation. - Vision, leadership, and strategic skills to prioritize initiatives effectively and engage users. - Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with little direct supervision. - Understanding of permitting process, construction terminology, building systems, and project sequence and timing. - Experience with food service operations and flow, either through direct experience or professional design work.,
