Roles and Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs and drawings for sheet metal components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).

• Develop and optimize sheet metal parts for manufacturability, considering factors such as material selection, forming processes, and tolerances.

• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and performance of designs.

• Collaborate with the prototyping team to build and test prototypes of sheet metal designs.

• Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications based on testing results and feedback.

• Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM).

• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Preferred candidate profile

• LOCAL CANDIDATE PREFERRED

• Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes, including cutting, bending, stamping, and welding.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
