Design Lead Solar (Civil / Structural)

As a Design Lead (Civil / Structural) in the Solar industry, your role involves overseeing and executing Engineering Activities related to Civil/Structural Engineering of Solar PV Power Plants. You will be responsible for guiding the modellers in developing BIM 3D Models for PV Solar Power plants and coordinating with various departments for inter-departmental checks. Leading a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons, you will ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of engineering activities throughout the project cycle. Key Responsibilities: - Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents - Ensuring alignment of deliveries with Project Schedule - Reviewing drawings by Design Engineers & Draughts Persons, including design & sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment - Reviewing Vendor deliverables related to Engineering - Multitasking effectively to deliver multiple tasks on time - Estimating and planning man-hour requirements - Reviewing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and providing technical clarifications to the contracts team - Coordinating with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks - Providing support and clarifications to the Site Execution team - Assisting in pre-award evaluation of vendors and validating technical specifications - Inspecting equipment from finalized vendors post validation - Clarifying design & client requirements to the Site Execution Team - Collecting project details from the client and Section Head - Coordinating with Operations team for design specifications approval - Collecting project details and General Arrangement Drawings from Vendors - Supporting Electrical DC, AC & Instrumentation teams in reviewing Vendor drawings - Submitting man-hour requirements for design & drawing reviews - Delivering design items such as Module mounting structure design, GA Drawing, Control room, Inverter room civil & Structural drawings & document, Solar Plant Civil infrastructure drawings and design. Technical Expertise: You are expected to have technical expertise in Engineering activities for civil & structural aspects including control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads and drainage, outdoor steel structures, and other works related to Solar Power Plants.
