Design Head/ Manager(Apparels)

Citykart is urgently hiring a talented and dynamic Design Lead / Design Manager (PD) to head the product development team. You will be responsible for leading and managing the apparel design team across Mens, Ladies, and Kids categories. Your role will involve conducting trend forecasting, customer research, and competitor analysis to develop relevant and appealing collections. You will create seasonal lines that deliver strong aesthetics, fit, fabric quality, and commercial value. Additionally, you will translate fashion trends into customer-driven and market-ready apparel designs. Collaboration with Merchandising, PD, and Pre-Production teams is crucial for seamless product execution. You will oversee vendor relationships, sampling approvals, and quality alignment, ensuring brand identity and consistency across all categories. Mentoring the design team to maximize creativity, productivity, and performance will be part of your responsibilities. Strict timelines and efficient budget handling will also be expected from you. Qualifications Required: - Graduate from NIFT / Pearl Academy / NIFD (Preferred) - 6-7 years of total experience, with 2-3 years in a similar leadership role - Experience across Mens, Ladies, and Kids divisions - Experience in value retail or similar chain of stores will be advantageous - Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and fashion trends - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and relevant design tools - Strong leadership, creativity, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills Citykart is one of India's fastest-growing value retail chains, and if you have the passion to lead, innovate, and create customer-loved designs, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
