Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, an NTTF PG Diploma or closely related field from an accredited university.
Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical design principles, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in at least one major CAD software package e.g., CATIA V5/V6, UG NX, etc.,
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Demonstrated passion for the automotive industry and powertrain technology.
3D CAD Modeling: Develop and modify complex 3D CAD models of powertrain components and assemblies
2D Engineering Drawings: Create 2D engineering drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances (GD&T) adhering to Ford standards.
Design Support: Assist senior engineers in design concept development, packaging studies, and integration of various powertrain subsystems.
Data Management: Manage CAD data within product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, ensuring proper version control, release, and archival of engineering documents.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and engineering change requests (OPD Notices).
Standard Adherence: Ensure all designs comply with Ford's engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for quality and reliability.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest CAD software features, design methodologies, and powertrain technologies.
