Job Title: Design Engineer AutoCAD & SolidWorks Location: Gurugram, HR Department: Design & Development Reports To: Senior Manager/Design Head Experience Required: 27 years (or as applicable) CTC: As per the Industry norms Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and production-ready designs for manufacturing and product development. Key Responsibilities: Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks based on project specifications. Design components, assemblies, and systems as per client and manufacturing requirements. Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, part lists, and revision control. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations. Assist in prototype development and testing coordination. Attend client/engineering review meetings when required. Key Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Drafting) and SolidWorks (3D Modeling & Simulation). Good understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, assemblies, and tolerance stack-up. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and excellent documentation practices. Good communication and team collaboration skills. Educational Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering , Design Engineering , or a related field. Preferred Experience: Experience in sheet metal design , mechanical components , or industrial product design . Exposure to GD&T , PDM systems , and ERP integration is a plus.
