Job Description

We're seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer who can bridge classic HVAC design with modern Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows. You'll create and coordinate detailed HVAC systems in Autodesk Revit, run load calculations, size and select equipment, and support field teams through installation and commissioning.

Area andTypical TasksBIM / Revit ModelingDevelop and maintain 3-D HVAC models, families, and clash-free coordination sets in RevitProduce construction drawings, schedules, and section details in line with company BIM Execution PlanEngineering CalculationsPerform heating & cooling load calculations (ASHRAE / carrier software, HAP, Trace 700, etc.)Size air ducts, hydronic piping, dampers, diffusers, and insulation based on codes and project specsEquipment SelectionSelect AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, fans, VAV boxes, filters, and controls hardwarePrepare technical submittals and comparison sheets for vendor reviewsDocumentation & QAGenerate P&IDs, schematics, and bill-of-materialsCheck model/drawing quality against internal standards and project BIM Level-of-Development (LOD) targetsField Support (Nice to Have)Support site surveys, installation checks, and TAB / commissioning punch listsRespond to RFIs and coordinate change orders with contractorsRequirementsEducation: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), Diploma Engineers with required skills and experience can also apply.Software: Hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit (HVAC discipline) and at least one load-calc tool (HAP, Trace, IES VE, etc.). Most importantly, calculation methodology should be known.Core SkillsHeating & cooling load analysis, psychometricsDuct work sizing, layout optimization, and pressure drop calculationsBasic knowledge of applicable codes (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, SMACNA)Preparation of HVAC schedules, specifications, and BOQsExperience13 years in an HVAC consultancy, design-build, or BIM production environmentDesired / AdvantageousOn-site exposure to HVAC erection or commissioning activitiesFamiliarity with Navisworks Manage for clash detectionExposure to energy modeling or CFD analysisWorking knowledge of controls schematics and BMS integrationSoft Skills & CompetenciesDetail-orientation: Catches clashes, spec deviations, and dimension errors earlyCommunication: Explains engineering concepts clearly to architects, contractors, and non-technical stakeholders; writes concise emails and technical notesCollaboration: Thrives in multidisciplinary design coordination meetings; open to peer reviews and knowledge sharingProblem-solving mindset: Able to propose alternative routing, value-engineering ideas, and quick field fixes when constraints ariseTime management: Plans tasks to meet deliverable milestones under tight deadlinesCuriosity & Continuous Learning: Keeps abreast of new HVAC technologies, energy codes, and Revit add-insBenefitsCompetitive salary.Mentoring by senior HVAC and BIM specialistsAccess to licensed software, training credits, and industry eventsHealth & wellness benefits
