Design Engineer

Job Title: Design Engineer – Steel Structures
Location: Calicut, Kerala
Experience Required: 1 to 2 Years
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience and skills)

We are a reputed steel fabrication and construction company based in Calicut, specializing in structural steel works, industrial sheds, and custom steel projects. We are looking for a young and passionate Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to innovative and technically sound structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D structural steel designs using AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar software.
• Create fabrication drawings, layout plans, and structural detailing.
• Collaborate with project engineers and site teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of BOMs (Bill of Materials) and material take-offs.
• Modify existing designs as per project requirements or site feedback.
• Ensure that all design work adheres to industry codes and safety standards.
• Maintain project documentation and update design revisions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in steel structure design or detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Tekla Structures, STAAD Pro, or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and structural elements.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
