Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Strong proficiency in

    CATIA V5/V6

    , especially

    Generative Shape Design (GSD)

    and

    Part Design

    modules.
  • Deep understanding of

    plastic part design principles

    wall thickness, ribs, bosses, draft analysis, etc.
  • Knowledge of

    injection molding, tooling, and assembly processes

    .
  • Experience with

    GD&T, tolerance analysis

    , and

    B-side design

    .
  • Familiarity with

    vehicle packaging

    ,

    mounting strategy

    , and

    interior ergonomics

    .
  • Good understanding of

    airbag integration

    ,

    HVAC outlet design

    , and

    instrument cluster mounting

    .
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional coordination.

OR

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on design experience using CATIA V5 with casting Product design experience
  • Solid knowledge of casting design principles and manufacturing constraints.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting 2D drawings, applying GD&T, and converting them into precise 3D models.
  • O ior experience working on engine systems and components is preferred.

OR

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 (R24) with strong hands-on experience in 3D CAD modeling.
  • Knowledge of plastic part design, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.
  • Experience with DFM/DFA principles and HVAC systems in automotive applications.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools for data management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
