Design Engineer (Electrical)

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in solar PV system design, your main responsibilities will include: - Preparing AutoCAD project layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and preliminary design packages. - Conducting project optimization analysis to determine the optimal project layout and input by adjusting various design parameters and major equipment. - Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation necessary for project execution. - Generating Bill of Materials (BOM) along with detailed technical specifications. - Assisting in RFP responses/bids for the Client, collaborating closely with the GM and Director to manage overall RFP response (including all technical aspects) and working closely with the Client's team during RFP response/bid preparation. - Demonstrating a strong understanding of electrical principles, PV system components, and design fundamentals. - Ensuring familiarity with local electrical codes, regulations, and permitting requirements. - Ensuring that designs comply with all applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements. Qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar PV system design and electrical engineering. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, PV Syst, Sketchup, MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and other relevant software. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication for collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
