Design Engineer

As a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer specializing in sheet metal and auto components, you will be a valuable addition to our dynamic engineering team. Your expertise in design principles, material selection, and manufacturing processes will be instrumental in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for the automotive sector. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and optimizing sheet metal components and assemblies for automotive applications, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and comply with safety and regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the design and development of sheet metal components and assemblies for automotive applications - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure practical, cost-efficient, and manufacturable designs - Utilizing CAD software to create detailed models and drawings - Conducting engineering analysis to validate designs - Overseeing prototype development and testing - Providing technical leadership and mentorship - Optimizing designs for manufacturability - Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - [X] years of experience in design engineering focusing on sheet metal components and automotive parts - Proficiency in CAD software - Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes - Understanding of automotive component design - Expertise in GD&T and DFM Desirable skills include: - Master's degree - Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques - Familiarity with PLM software and ERP systems - Certifications in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing - Knowledge of EV components and emerging automotive technologies This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as cell phone reimbursement and Provident Fund.
