Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing the scope of works and specifications for structural engineering projects. Your role will involve developing detailed design engineering drawings by utilizing information from various sources such as pipe and structural design calculations, conceptual designs, site studies, vendor drawings, catalogues, engineering sketches, reference drawings, and input from other disciplines. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct field investigations and produce clear field reports with detailed sketches, as well as provide written and verbal instructions. - Perform basic design to detail engineering of structural drawings and prepare as-built drawings. - Prepare material take-off (MTO) and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) from detailed shop drawings and tender documents. - Review and check design drawings and vendor shop drawings. - Coordinate design information with other disciplines to develop a complete drawing package. - Perform department planning tasks including manpower forecasting, work assignments, proposals, and development of engineering standards and guidelines. - Interact with clients, vendors, and provide technical support to site construction groups/teams. - Proficient in using engineering tools such as AutoCAD. - Prepare typical steel connection details, pedestals, heavy equipment, pits, sumps, trenches, piping, tower buildings, substation buildings, roads, paving, staircases, ladders, handrails, and gratings. - Model steel and concrete pipe racks, structures, and equipment platforms. - Prepare general arrangement drawings for steel and concrete structures. - Coordinate with piping, underground, and electrical departments. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering tools. - Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams. - Experience in structural engineering design and detailing. - Knowledge of material take-off preparation and bill of quantity. - Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines and departments. In this role, you will work full-time in a day shift at the company's in-person location.
